AI Usage Viewer
Privacy Policy
VIT Works (the "Provider") sets out this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of user information in the desktop application "AI Usage Viewer" (the "Software").
1. Information Collected and How It Is Obtained
To display usage information (token usage, usage rate, etc.) for Claude Code and Codex, the Software handles the following information:
- Authentication information such as OAuth tokens: The Software references, read-only, the Claude Code / Codex authentication credential files that already exist in your local Windows environment. This authentication information is obtained and stored by the user separately when they begin using Claude Code / Codex; the Software never newly obtains or issues credentials on the user's behalf.
- Usage data: Using the above authentication information, the Software queries only endpoints operated by Anthropic and OpenAI (which may include interfaces that those companies do not publicly document or guarantee for general use) to retrieve token usage, usage rate, and related information.
2. Destination and Scope of Data Transmission
The authentication information and query results obtained by the Software are never sent to any destination other than endpoints operated by Anthropic and OpenAI. No data is transmitted to any server operated by the Provider or to any other third-party server.
Authentication information (tokens, etc.) is never logged, displayed on screen, written to a file, or otherwise recorded, displayed, or transmitted in any form.
3. Data Collection and Storage
The Provider does not collect or store the authentication information or usage data obtained through use of the Software on any server managed by the Provider. Usage data is processed and displayed solely on the user's local device.
4. Automatic Update Feature
The Software includes an automatic update feature that checks for the availability of a newer version and, if necessary, downloads an update package. This feature accesses Cloudflare R2 (a cloud storage service) for the distribution of update files. This communication includes only the minimal information necessary to check for updates (the current version number, OS type, etc.); it never includes authentication information or usage data.
5. Locally Stored Configuration Data
Application settings such as display settings and language preferences are stored only on the user's local device and are never transmitted externally.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies on This Website (Distribution Page)
The Software's distribution page (this website) may use cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) to improve the service, understand usage, and remember your language and consent settings.
- Cookies, local storage (localStorage), and similar technologies: May be used to remember your language and consent settings and to improve the service and understand usage. Such information is stored primarily on the visitor's own device.
- Web fonts: The page loads Google Fonts (provided by Google LLC) from an external server. In doing so, technical information such as the visitor's IP address is sent to the font-delivery server. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
7. Relationship with Third-Party Services
The handling of data on the side of Anthropic and OpenAI, whose endpoints the Software communicates with, is governed by each company's own privacy policy and terms of service. The Provider is not involved in, and bears no responsibility for, the handling of data on the part of those companies.
8. Contact
For inquiries regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact the address listed on the Software's official distribution page.
9. Revisions
The Provider may revise this Privacy Policy as necessary. The Provider will endeavor to notify users of material changes through a Software update or the official distribution page.
