Disclaimer & Trademarks
1. Trademarks
"HiDock" and "HiNotes" are trademarks of their respective owners.
"OpenAI" is a trademark of OpenAI, L.L.C.
These trademarks belong to their respective owners. VIT Works (the provider of the Software "RecapScribe") has no capital relationship, business partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, or any other affiliation with the provider of HiDock / HiNotes or with OpenAI. Any use of these trademarks in the name or description of the Software is purely descriptive, referring to the services the Software interacts with, and does not imply endorsement or approval of the Software by those companies.
2. Disclosure of Unofficial Integration
The Software does not use an API published or warranted by HiNotes for third-party tools. Using a browser embedded in the app (WebView2), it operates the HiNotes screens with your own account to check the note list, run summaries, and export text. This automates the same actions you would otherwise perform manually in a browser, and it is not provided or warranted by the operator of HiNotes for use by third-party tools such as the Software.
You use HiNotes at your own responsibility and are responsible for complying with its terms of use.
3. Possibility of the Software Ceasing to Function
Because the Software depends on the screen structure as described above, changes made by the operator of HiNotes — including specification changes, screen layout changes, changes to their Terms of Service, authentication method changes, or discontinuation of features — may cause part or all of the Software's functionality to stop working without prior notice. The Provider does not guarantee that such issues will be fixed or that functionality will be restored, and fees already paid will not be refunded for this reason.
4. Accuracy of Generated Content
The transcripts and summaries the Software retrieves and stores are generated by HiNotes, and re-summary results are generated by OpenAI models. The Provider does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of either. If you rely on them for important decisions, always review the content together with the original audio or transcript.
5. OpenAI API Costs
The re-summary feature uses an OpenAI API key that you supply yourself. All charges billed by OpenAI in connection with that use are borne by you. The Provider bears no responsibility for those charges.
6. Further Details
For detailed disclaimer provisions such as no-warranty and self-responsibility, see the "End User License Agreement (EULA)". For the handling of data, see the "Privacy Policy".
